Want to learn how to safely ferment your own foods at home? Join us at the Bladen Extension Office for two hands-on workshops where you'll gain practical skills and take home your very own fermented creations!
- Fermentation: Sauerkraut
- Dates & Times: Oct 7 at 10:00 AM or Oct 8 at 5:30 PM
- Highlights: Learn food safety, cover basics for foods like sauerkraut and yogurt, and make-and-take your own jar of sauerkraut!

- Fermentation: Kombucha
- Dates & Times: Oct 28 at 10:00 AM or Oct 29 at 5:30 PM
- Highlights: Learn the basics of safe fermenting and start your own SCOBY pellicle to take home!
- Registration Deadline: October 26
Event Details (Both Classes):
- Location: Bladen Extension Office (450 Smith Circle, Elizabethtown)
- Cost: $20 per class - Registration fee must be paid in advance at the Bladen Extension Office; we accept cash or check (made payable to Bladen Extension).
- Class Size: Limited to just 12 spots per session to ensure a quality hands-on experience!
Spots are extremely limited and fill up fast - be sure to register before the deadlines!
