Don't forget to keep yourself and your plants hydrated in this summer heat! 🌻☀️ Check out these tips to help your yard and garden thrive in July.
- Pick tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, squash, and beans frequently to keep the plants producing.
- It feels too hot to think about, but late July is the time to start seeds indoors for your fall crops so they are ready to transplant.
- Mow at the highest recommended height for your specific grass type. Taller grass creates a canopy that shades the soil, keeps roots cool, & prevents weeds.
- Avoid planting new trees or major shrubs during the July heat.
