Basics of 4-H Online

4-HOnline is where all of the necessary forms and paperwork are kept for youth to participate in 4-H events. All 4-HOnline accounts are reset each year, so it is important to go in and re-enroll youth every calendar year.

How to create a NEW Family Profile:

  1. Go to v2.4honline.com
  2. Click “Don’t have an account?” if you have never enrolled in 4-H before using 4HOnline.
    1. Note: Your family profile must be associated with a valid email address. This will be your login and you will receive communications to this address. The email address will also be where a password reset will be sent if needed.
    2. The email address you provide can only be associated with one family profile. If 4HOnline does not accept your email address, you may already have a 4HOnline family account. Contact your local Extension office for assistance.
  3. Select “North Carolina” from the drop-down menu.
  4. Select “North Carolina 4-H and Youth Development” for the Institution.
  5. Select “Washington” from the drop-down menu.
  6. Complete your family’s information. Required fields are marked red and must be completed to move to the next screen. If you mistakenly chose the wrong county, just hit the back button to adjust it before moving on to the next screen.
  7. Click the “Create Account” button.
  8. Enter your family’s address information and click “Verify.” The verification process may require you to select an appropriate USPS format.
  9. After the address is verified, your family profile has been created! You will receive an email confirming your family profile. The next screen will allow you to add the first member to your family.
  10. Add all youth in your family that will be participating in 4-H as members. You will go through each of the screens and fill out the necessary information to move on to the next screen.
  11. If your child is in a club, you will choose that club in the club section, if they are not associated with a club you will choose “Member at Large.”
  12. For projects, this is just an interest selection. You can pick whatever project you like from the list.
  13. Go through all of the screens and “submit enrollment.”

How to Re-Enroll:

  1. Go to v2.4honline.com
  2. Enter your email address and password.
    1. If you have forgotten your password, simply click “reset your password.”
    2. If you think you have an account but do not remember the email address, contact the Extension Office. Please do not create a new account.
  3. Click the “Member’s List” tab on the left and then locate the member’s name and click “enroll now”.
  4. Select the grade from the dropdown menu.
  5. Click the blue “Next” button.
  6. Read the screen to confirm the membership type and click the blue “Enroll” button.
  7. After reading the instructions for the Clubs section, click the blue “Select Clubs” button. If your child is not currently enrolled in a club, select “Washington County Members at Large.”
  8. Once club(s) have been added, click the blue “Next” button.
  9. After reading the instructions for the Projects section, click the blue “Select Projects” button.
  10. Click the blue “Select” button next to the project to add it to the enrollment. Add projects (examples: livestock, camping, leadership, etc.) that youth may be interested in.
  11. Select the Years in Project from the drop-down menu. The default value is set to 1.
  12. Click the blue “Add” button. Repeat the process for each project.
  13. Complete the About You, Demographics, Address, Emergency Contact, Parent/Guardian, Second Family, School, Military, and other information.
  14. Click the blue “Next” button,
  15. Click the blue “Show Health Form” button to display and answer all questions and e-sign where designated.
  16. Click the blue “Next” button.
  17. Click the blue “Show Consents” button to display and answer all questions and e-sign where designated.
  18. Click the blue “Next” button.
  19. Click the green “Submit” button once updates are complete.
