Bladen Raises Awareness About Gang Activity

— Written By

Please mark your calendar for our Bladen County Gang Awareness event on December 9th, 2013 from6pm-8pm. This event is absolutely FREE and will include dinner. We are honored to have guest speaker, Jamir Jumoke, former gang member and current member of the Blue Ribbon Committee on Prevention of Youth Violence, to present at this event! John McMillan from East Bladen High School will also give his observation of gangs within the Bladen County School System. In addition, there will be a panel to include Mr. Jumoke, Mr. McMillan, Kip Hester (Elizabethtown Police Department), and Richard Allen (Bladen County Sheriff’s Office).

This is a partnership among many community stakeholders to include, but not limited to: The Department of Public Safety, Bladen County School System, Bladen County Sheriff’s Office, Elizabethtown Police Department, Clarkton Police Department, Bladenboro Police Department, White Lake Police Department, Bladen Community College, N.C. Cooperative Extension Service, and our Faith-Based community.

Come out and support our efforts to create awareness about gang activity in our community! I have attached a flyer with the details of this event. Please share this information with those in your circle of contacts.

We hope to see you there! (see flyer below that can be printed and posted!)
